Dr. Engelstatter is the founder of Carolina Psychological Health Services. He is licensed for the independent practice of psychology in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Indiana. He is listed on the National Register of Health Services Providers in Psychology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists; the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling, and Psychotherapy; the American Board of Forensic Examiners; the American Board of Forensic Medicine; and the American Board of Psychological Specialties. Dr. Engelstatter is a member of the American Psychological Association and the North Carolina Psychological Association, where he serves on the Board of Director for the Division of the Independent Practice of Psychology. He is also a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. Dr. Engelstatter has been involved in the provision of behavioral health services for over 40 years. In this capacity, he has been responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision of a variety of psychological health care programs in both the military and civilian communities. He has practiced in Jacksonville, North Carolina for over 30 years, and he established Carolina Psychological Health Services in July of 1988. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of a full range of psychological health care problems for children, adolescents, and adults in both outpatient and inpatient treatment settings.

Dr. Stein is a seasoned professional psychologist with a lengthy career of working in medical settings and many years of experience in providing forensic psychological services.
The majority of his career was spent in West Virginia where he was honored by being named a “Distinguished Psychologist” as well as being elected the first “Fellow” of the state’s psychological association. He has served on numerous boards of directors, along with the state Licensing Board and Disaster Recovery Board.
Dr. Stein relocated to North Carolina to accept a clinical psychologist position with the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) where he worked for 5 years before joining Carolina Psychological Health Services.
In addition to working with medical patients, Dr. Stein’s current interests focus on aging issues and fostering resiliency among former military personnel.

Charles Noles, a native of upstate New York, has lived in the Jacksonville area since 2011. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of combined enlisted and commissioned service. As a counselor, he has helped hundreds of active duty service members, veterans, retirees, and military spouses overcome various mental health challenges. He strives to ensure each individual can safely explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Charles is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Lori has been working as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate for over two years. She has experience working with victims of domestic violence and women who have experienced trauma. She obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from NCCU and completed advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy from ECU. She completed the 2017/2018 NC TFCBT Learning Collaborative through the NC Child Treatment Program. She completed the 2020/2021 remote Community Learning Collaborative for Alternatives for Families CBT (AF-CBT). Mrs. Hardison has 33 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient community mental health settings. She is currently in an outpatient private practice and her experience includes provision of supervision for group therapy, development of an adolescent girls Choices group and an adult sexual offender treatment group while in community mental health. Prior to earning her advanced degree, Becky worked as a case worker and coordinator with local DSS and Mental Health agencies. Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A) in the state of North Carolina and has provided therapy to people of all ages. She obtained a BSW from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and in Psychology. Amanda earned a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a current Ph.D. student of Biblical Counseling at Regent University. She completed a clinical internship at Bay Area Psychology Associates and utilizes flexible treatment options. Amanda also offers a faith-based approach to meet the needs of individuals and families who wish to honor their belief system in therapy.

Katie attended University of Dayton where she received a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Family Development and Master of Social Work at Carlow University. Her experience includes working with children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and trauma across diverse populations. Katie has extensive knowledge utilizing crisis management and intervention techniques from her experience working in the school system, community, and inpatient hospitalization environments. Katie provides needed support and ongoing advocacy to individuals and their families to help process and adapt to stressful situations as well as cope with their own emotions. She works to partner with her clients to build skills of flexibility and problem solving and develop lasting solutions to challenging behavior.

Haley is a licensed clinician who strives to provide solution-focused and recovery-oriented services from a strengths-based approach. She is passionate about working with individuals to help increase positive behaviors, promote self-determination, and improve communication skills through a blend of cognitive behavioral intervention strategies. Hale's primary therapeutic approaches include an integration of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. As a mental health care specialist, Hale is dedicated to providing emotional safety and cultural competence with a "whole-person" approach that allows her to collaborate efficiently and effectively with clients in pursuit of their mental health goals.
