Bethany received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. Bethany worked with children and families for 12 years as a Parent Educator for the Even Start Family Literacy Program and as a Center Coordinator for both Head Start/Early Head Start Program. Bethany obtained her Master’s degree in Social work from East Carolina University of North Carolina in 2019 after gaining 5 years of experience working in Child Welfare. Bethany gained experience in working in crisis response and intervention with Integrated Family Services Mobile Crisis Team for a year in Onslow County. She also worked at Carteret Health Care for a year and a half as a Behavioral Health Clinical Evaluator assessing and stabilizing acute mental/behavioral/substance related crisis for children up through the geriatric population. Additionally, she worked for Child First, Easter Seals UCP for 2 and a half years treating children under the age of 6 with parents in their home setting.
Bethany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist-Associate with a concentration in children and adolescents. She understands that successful treatment requires a compassionate therapeutic relationship utilizing researched based interventions, modalities and techniques related to: CBT & DBT, Somatic Psychology, Parts Work Therapy, Art Therapy, Mind-Body Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Relational Theory that is attachment theory and developmental psychology that is play based.
