Elizabeth completed her undergraduate work in Gunnison, Colorado from Western State College and received her Master of Arts degree in 1999 from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC. Elizabeth is both a licensed professional counselor in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor. Elizabeth has been working in the field of mental health since 1990; she has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, residential, outpatient, and private practice. She specializes in trauma, attachment and adoption issues, victim advocacy from abuse, and DSS/foster care involvement. Besides individual therapy work, Elizabeth also provides couples counseling and family therapy. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR and play therapy.
