Meet Emily, an outpatient therapist at CPHS, who has the incredible privilege of working primarily with children aged 8 and under, helping them navigate their big feelings and experiences. Her approach is all about creating a safe and playful space where little ones can truly express themselves, often through child-centered and Adlerian play therapy techniques. Her journey in mental health has almost entirely been dedicated to supporting young minds, from her days as a mental health tech to directing child and adolescent day treatment. She holds her Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) credentials, and she is currently thrilled to be working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Outside of the office, you can find her on a quest to catch ’em all in the latest Pokémon game or showering her sweet cat, Niki, with endless affection!
